Strand Woven Bamboo |
|
Strand bamboo is made using a unique manufacturing
process that is different from all other bamboo
flooring types - by heating long strips of bamboo,
weaving them together, then laminating them under
extreme pressure. This produces a floor that is even
harder and denser than traditional bamboo flooring,
with a grain more similar to exotic hardwood
flooring |

can be nailed, glued-down, or floated. Engineered
floors are ideal for any application including over
concrete, radiant heat, condominiums, plywood, and
more. The top wear-layer is made out of bamboo thick
enough to be re-finished at least 2 to 3 times. |

a lot of character markings then you may
want to preview the hand scraped bamboo
floors. Hand scraped floors are a step back
in time. Before the days of sanding
machines, wooden floors were scraped by hand
with special tools, before they were
finished. The main difference between the
old and modern methods is that today's hand
scraped floors are usually done board by
board before they are installed. |
